Aruna Ratanagiri Monastery – 22nd October 2026
MEAL-TIME CHANGING
As you probably know, this Sunday, 25th October 2026, the UK will switch from British Summer Time (BST) to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), with the clocks going back one hour. To ensure that the monastic community can finish their meal before noon, we will revert to our Winter Schedule.
The meal offering in the Reception Room will take place at the following times:
Monday to Saturday: 11:00 am
Sunday Paritta Chanting: 10:45 am
This schedule will stay in place until Sunday 28th March when the clocks go forward again.
KATHINA EVENTS
Please note that on Sunday, 1 November, there will be no evening puja, nor will the first-Sunday-of-the-month meditation class be held at Kusala House.
Also, at the Sunday 1st Nov. gathering, Ajahn Ariyo, the proposed new abbot of Aruna Ratanagiri Monastery, will be invited to offer a Dhamma talk.
This is anticipated to mark the final occasion on which Luang Por Munindo will lead such an event in his capacity as abbot. The leadership role is expected to be formally transferred to Ajahn Ariyo during the Elders’ Council Meeting hosted here on Tuesday, 3 November.
