Today, Sunday 29th, is the New Moon day for December.
The next Uposatha Day will be a Full Moon, and falls on Monday, 13th January, 2025.
Current residents at the monastery are: Luang Por Munindo, Ajahn Punnyo, Ajahn Mahachomgaew, Tan Sudhammo.
Over the past month Luang Por Munindo offered two public talks: 1st December, Susceptible To Seeing Anew; 15th December, Seeing Humility As A Safety Net.

Meat, Fish, Seafoods and Bottled Water:
Thank you to those of you who have heeded the request to desist from offering meat, fish, seafoods and bottled water.

NEW YEAR’S EVE:
Our annual New Year’s Eve Forgiveness and Renewal gathering is scheduled to take place on 31st December, starting at 7 pm, ending approx. 12.15 am
NEW YEAR’S DAY:
A Beginning with Goodness event is planned for New Year’s Day. Starting in the Dhamma Hall at 10.15 am with formally taking the 5 Precepts, then Paritta chanting, followed by a rice alms-round and shared meal.
The community at Aruna Ratanagiri are planning to enter our annual three month retreat, starting from Monday 6th January, until 31st March. Please note, the last week of each month is designated as a Silent Practice Week. This is in case you visit and we don’t talk to you. You are always welcome to visit.
Anyone interested in helping to keep the community fed throughout the winter, or if you want to make offerings on a special day, don’t hesitate to contact us.
