Learning Meditation

On the first Sunday of most months, meditation instruction is available at Kusala House, the Lay Guest Accommodation at Aruna Ratanagiri Buddhist Monastery. These sessions are led by lay friends of the community. No booking is necessary. Sessions begin at 5:30pm and last for about one hour. For further details click here

Listening to talks

Dhamma talks aim to present the Buddha's teachings in ways which can be readily digested and implemented in daily life, offering a path of practice that is both relevant and applicable.
Talks are given by various senior monks, with recordings available to listen to online, or in person on Sunday evenings.


Informal Q&A sessions take place on Sunday evening most weeks at Kusala House (except the first Sunday of the month and during our Winter Retreat season: January, February, March).

Reading Books

Written by various monks and nuns within our community. Focusing on a variety of elements of this path of practice, and presented in ways that can be understood and implemented in day-to-day life. Books are available for free download here or to collect in person at the monastery.
