About the Monastery Committee

The Monastery Committee is made up of some members of the Sangha and three lay people. The lay members are allowed to serve on the committee for two years, extendible to three in special cases, then must take at least a year's break. The committee is the executive dimension of the community attending to matters such as planning regulations, insurance etc. It meets approximately every 3 - 4 weeks.

Participation in this committee is encouraged as an opportunity to work in close relationship with the monastic Sangha and to develop mindful practice in activity.
